The National Science Foundation, or NSF, has recently certified the first drinking water pitcher to reduce arsenic to NSF/ANSI 53, an American National Standard for drinking water treatment units. The company responsible for the device is Mesofilter, Inc. This certification declares that Mesofilter's NanoNose Water Purifier reduces arsenic to below the health advisory levels set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and World Health Organization (WHO).
